Uniform 2010/2011

 

Wearing the correct school uniform is an essential part of being prepared for work at school. We need your support to ensure that your child is always properly dressed for the working day. Wearing uniform is not an option; it is a clear expectation of all who are part of the Titus Salt Community.

Girls

*Navy v-neck pullover with school badge

 

*Navy sweatshirt with school badge (Year 11 only)

 

Plain navy or black trousers
(no denim, tracksuits, culottes, cropped or combat trousers)

 

Or, plain black skirt worn with plain black opaque tights. The skirt should be of an appropriate length.

 

White shirt with a collar suitable for a tie  (no polo shirts)

 

*KS3 year group ties: clipped to a buttoned collar
*KS4 year group ties: correctly knotted and worn to the top button

                   

Plain black shoes

 

Suitable winter outdoor coat

 

Black or navy hijaab for religious reasons


Boys

Points to note

All uniform marked with an asterisk (*) is available from Rawcliffes, Bradford, Henry Smith, Shipley and Natasha Schoolwear, Bradford.
** A traditional style shoe is required. Trainer-style footwear, mules, boots, sandals and canvas styles are NOT acceptable. Shoes should also be free of any logo. Examples are available to view in school, or click here.

Summer term only

Optional: *Navy polo shirt with school badge instead of a shirt, tie and pullover. No belt to be worn over the polo shirt or additional t-shirt underneath. Not to be worn for PE.

Leggings, leg warmers or longer-style socks are not permitted.

Students must wear pullovers/sweatshirts around school. It is left to the discretion of individual teachers to allow them to be removed in lessons.
Ensure all uniform is clearly/permanently labelled.
Hair colours must be natural looking. Extreme hair styles are not acceptable, including shaved patterns and tramline styles.
If make-up is worn it should be subtle enough for school.
To avoid health and safety hazards no jewellery is allowed, except one pair of studs/sleeper earrings. Facial piercings, tongue studs or retainers are not permitted. Staff will confiscate any additional items of jewellery.

Mobile Phones/Personal Music Players/Electronic Equipment
Using mobile phones, personal music players or electronic equipment is not permitted in school.

School accepts no responsibility for the loss or theft of any personal belongings including clothing, jewellery, mobiles/personal music players. We strongly recommend high value items are not brought to school.
